The financial sector is involved in all parts of the economy and is an important engine for the development of a green and sustainable economy. This applies both when we talk about investment funds, lending to companies and private customers, mortgages and green bonds.
We have gathered some of the most important results that banks and mortgage institutions have delivered to promote the sustainable transition in a sustainability report, which we are publishing for the third year in a row:
- The financial sector's total green lending is now DKK 691 billion
- 98% of the sector measures CO2 emissions from lending and approx. 90% have set targets for its reduction
- The scope of loans for zero- and low-emission cars has grown from DKK 5 to DKK 9 billion from 2021-2022
- Nine out of ten employees in the financial sector have received a competence boost in sustainability.
