In cooperation with the Danish YMCA's Social Work and the Vesterbro Settlement, Finance Denmark provides voluntary debt advisers from banks for a range of debt counselling centres. The project is supported financially by the Danish Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration.
The aim of the advice is that citizens will be equipped to manage their personal finances and thereby gain a better quality of life.
Debt counselling is provided by a group of volunteers with a background in economics, law and social counselling. The advisers offer impartial, confidential and free advice on personal financial affairs.
Counselling is given on topics such as:
- drafting budgets
- liquidating and renegotiating debt
- how to use disposal income
- how to gain an overview of loans and get peace of mind
Counselling takes place in Aalborg, Brabrand, Copenhagen, Esbjerg, Grindsted, Haderslev, Haslev, Horsens, Kolding, Odder, Odense, Randers, Skjern, Slagelse, Struer, Svendborg, Taastrup and Vejle.
Online advice is also available.
