SIFI - Systemically Important Financial Institutions
Certain banks in Denmark are so large that they are each of considerable significance to the national economy. These banks are defined as SIFIs, Systemically Important Financial Institutions. These banks are: Danske Bank, Nykredit Realkredit, Nordea Kredit, Jyske Bank, Sydbank and DLR Kredit.
SIFIs are important in relation to foreign countries’ trust in financial stability in Denmark.
