Property financing
In Denmark, property purchases are primarily financed by banks, either as a bank loan or a mortgage. Some bank loans for housing, also called mortgage loans, are used instead of mortgage credit and others are an addition to mortgage credit. Finance Denmark has an interest in ensuring that credit assessments are objective and of a high quality.
The property financing market is competitive and that is good for customers. However, it is important that competition does not compromise credit standards.
