MiFID & MiFIR stand for Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, MiFID, and Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation, MiFIR. They are the corner stones of the EU’s regulation of financial markets. The rules ensure the protection of investors by making markets transparent, effective and robust.
The aim of MiFID and MiFIR is to strengthen consumer protection and create better competition on capital markets.
