Crime against banks and bank customers via the internet is on the rise. In order to minimize fraud and unlawful transfers, banks and Finance Denmark are continually working on securing IT systems that deal with i.e. online banking, NemID and payment cards, as well as informing Danes about safe behaviour on the internet in relation to payments and codes.

Criminals have moved to cyberspace and this is a threat to banks and customers. A breach of cybersecurity entails huge consequences for the financial sector, which is a real threat towards overall financial stability.
